Job Description

Concrete Crew Leader William Low Concrete and Excavation LLC is seeking an experienced and dependable Concrete Crew Leader to join our growing team. This is a full-time, year-round position focused primarily on concrete flatwork across a diverse range of new residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of concrete construction, proven leadership abilities, and the ability to coordinate and perform work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate a concrete crew throughout all phases of a project. Perform and oversee accurate jobsite layout and preparation. Establish grades and elevations using appropriate tools and methods. Set, align, and secure concrete forms. Coordinate concrete placement and ensure proper finishing procedures. Operate power trowel machines and perform broom and other specified finishes. Monitor workmanship, productivity, and project quality. Read and interpret plans, drawings, and project specifications. Operate construction equipment as needed to support project operations. Maintain an organized and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with management, crew members, subcontractors, and other project personnel. Identify and address jobsite issues promptly to keep projects progressing efficiently. Qualifications Previous experience as a concrete foreman, crew leader, or experienced concrete finisher. Strong hands-on experience with concrete flatwork. Demonstrated ability to perform layout, form setting, and grade work. Proficiency with power trowel machines and broom finishing. Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications. Equipment operating experience is strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and effectively manage a crew. Commitment to quality workmanship and safe jobsite practices.

Concrete flatwork What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has the experience and leadership skills necessary to keep a concrete crew productive and a project moving forward. The successful candidate will be expected to lead by example, maintain quality standards, and take ownership of their work from layout through completion.
