Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and driven General Superintendent with specialized expertise in self-perform concrete construction to lead multi-phase commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This role requires oversight of daily field operations, trade supervision, quality control, pour management, and field safety across active job sites. This is a traveling position requiring regular relocation or out-of-town stays for extended project durations. Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Operations Oversee all daily field activities, including formwork installation, rebar placement, concrete placement/finishing, post-tensioning, and stripping. Manage, train, and mentor on-site field supervisors, foremen, and field crews to maximize productivity and craftsmanship. Coordinate pump trucks, batch plant deliveries, batch mix adjustments, and material delivery schedules to maintain continuous pour operations. Review structural drawings, rebar submittals, and pour plans to anticipate field clashes or design discrepancies prior to placement. Travel, Housing & Per Diem Logistics Willingness to travel and reside near assigned project locations for extended periods (ranging from several weeks to months at a time). Utilize employer-provided Vehicle, fuel card, corporate housing/lodging and receive a daily per diem . Coordinate local job site setup, staging logistics, and field office operations upon arrival at new project sites. Safety, Quality & Compliance Enforce all OSHA standards, company safety guidelines, and jobsite-specific hazard mitigations across all concrete operations. Perform pre-pour inspections, core sampling oversight, slump tests, and post-pour defect evaluations. Ensure formwork shoring and reshoring plans strictly adhere to engineering specifications and safety guidelines. Candidate Qualifications Required 10+ years of progressive concrete construction experience, with a minimum of 5+ years in a General Superintendent or Senior Superintendent capacity. Expertise in heavy structural concrete, high-rise formwork systems, post-tensioned slabs, or heavy civil/infrastructure concrete.
Travel Requirement:
Must be fully open and flexible to travel out of town regularly for extended project durations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. OSHA 30-Hour Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date). Preferred Bilingual (English / Spanish): Strongly preferred to ensure clear communication across all field crews, subcontractors, and safety teams. Proficiency with digital site management tools.
Pay:
$25.00 - $33.00 per hour
