Job Overview We are seeking a motivated, experienced Carpentry Construction Foreman to join our team. Our primary focus at this time is in decking, installing products such as Trex and TimberTech. Additional work performed is primarily carpentry related in nature. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing a construction crew in various construction and maintenance tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely and to budget. This role requires expert level craftsmanship , good communication skills, mathematics skills, physical stamina , attention to detail , a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and to aligning with our company culture . This role is very hands on and physically demanding. We also offer 7 paid holidays! Responsibilities Drive production. Be the chief "doer". If you are the one who others look to in order to get a project done, this might be a good fit. Assist owner, project manager and administrative assistant with estimates, material orders, inspection scheduling and job scheduling as requested Communicate on site with customers, sub-contractors, inspectors and suppliers Maintain positive working relationships with employees, subcontractors, suppliers and customers Supervise and lead team of construction workers with a focus on framing and finish carpentry, deck repairs and installations, painting and remodeling and occasional handyman projects Read plans and create material takeoffs as needed Proficiency in operatation of hand tools and power tools
if you know it well enough to teach someone else, this might be a good fit Adherence to all safety protocols and regulations on-site to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. OSHA training is a major plus. Experience Exceptional math and communication skills
they are used all day, every day in this role 5+ years of experience in residential or commercial construction, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience in carpentry or a related trade Verifiable experience in ground up new builds and/or extensive remodels, deck builds or similar Presentable appearance and friendly demeanor

Have great attention to detail and a positive attitude with a commitment to professionalism in whatever task we have for the day. A minimum of a high school education with a strong math ability. Able to work 40 hours a week, show up on time and have standard hand and power tools.
Required:
Own a reliable truck capable of towing trailers Able to work in a typical construction environment around dust, noise, all kinds of weather, heights, lifting 50 lbs or more, etc. Driver's License 18 years or older
