Foreman Industrial Electrician Job Description This role leads industrial electrical construction projects from pre-construction planning through to completion across multiple sites in the Central Valley. The Foreman Industrial Electrician oversees field activities, coordinates with teams of journeyman and apprentice electricians, and ensures that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Typical work includes industrial and agricultural facilities, motor control centers, and large-scale conduit installations. Responsibilities Oversee electrical construction projects from initial planning through final completion, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Lead and coordinate teams of journeyman and apprentice electricians on large-scale industrial projects, providing direction, support, and technical guidance. Plan, install, and oversee the running of EMT, rigid, PVC, Ocal, stainless steel, and aluminum conduit systems for industrial and agricultural facilities. Perform and supervise conduit bending using Chicago benders, hand benders, triple nickel, Fresno benders, and other appropriate tools to meet project specifications. Coordinate and participate in pulling and terminating wire, ensuring proper routing, labeling, and connections according to drawings and basic circuitry principles. Work on and supervise installations involving industrial 3-phase motors, motor control centers (MCC), and motor control rooms, ensuring proper configuration and operation. Review project requirements and adjust manpower, tools, and materials to meet changing priorities across multiple sites and assignments each week. Maintain a consistent on-time presence at the job site and model professional behavior, including a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Adapt to working on 23 different jobs per week, moving between locations such as Fresno, Hanford, Coalinga, Tulare, Firebaugh, and Merced as project needs arise. Collaborate closely with other foremen and journeyman electricians to solve field issues, interpret plans, and maintain project momentum. Monitor workmanship and quality of installations, ensuring all conduit, wiring, and equipment are installed neatly, securely, and according to design. Support long-term project schedules, including short-term assignments (such as 46 week projects) and subsequent transitions to new sites. Promote a safe and respectful work environment, encouraging teamwork and clear communication among all crew members. Essential Skills Experience as an ET, Apprentice Electrician, or Journeyman Electrician in industrial or agricultural settings. Proficiency in bending EMT, rigid, Ocal, stainless steel, and aluminum conduit accurately to specification. Ability to use conduit benders, including Chicago benders, hand benders, triple nickel, and Fresno benders, with confidence and precision. Strong understanding of basic electrical circuitry and its application in industrial environments. Hands-on experience working with industrial 3-phase motors, including installation and basic troubleshooting. Experience working on motor control centers (MCC) and motor control rooms in industrial facilities. Reliability in arriving to work on time and maintaining consistent attendance. Positive attitude and professional demeanor when working with crews and project stakeholders. Flexibility to handle multiple projects and assignments, including working on 23 different jobs per week. Willingness and ability to travel between various project sites as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in industrial or agricultural electrical construction projects. Comfort working under the direction of a foreman or journeyman electrician while also taking initiative when leading tasks. Ability to read and interpret basic electrical plans and diagrams related to circuitry and motor controls. Strong problem-solving skills in the field, particularly with conduit routing and equipment layout. Capability to work effectively on large-scale projects, coordinating with multiple trades and team members. Adaptability to changing project locations and schedules, including short-term assignments followed by moves to new sites. The environment is field-based and hands-on, involving extensive conduit installation, bending, and wiring in motor control centers and industrial motor rooms. Work hours follow typical construction schedules, and you should expect to be on-site, traveling between projects as needed, and working with standard industrial electrical tools and equipment, including various types of conduit benders. The setting is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on completing projects safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Clovis, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $93600.00 - $93600.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
