Residential Construction - Custom Homes Builders & Remodeling Lux Builders & Remodeling Inc. is a respected local residential construction firm specializing in custom homes, additions, and high-end remodels throughout the South Bay and Los Angeles. We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Construction Foreman / General Contractor Assistant to join our growing team. Position Overview This role is a working foreman position combining hands-on construction work with jobsite supervision and operational support . The ideal candidate has leadership experience but is fully willing to work in the field when needed and grow. You will assist in managing day-to-day jobsite activities, oversee work performed by crews and subcontractors, ensure safety and quality standards, and support logistics including materials, inspections, and site coordination. Responsibilities Perform hands-on construction work as needed Supervise and support crews across multiple residential job sites Manage daily jobsite operations to maintain schedules and quality standards Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and city inspectors Order, schedule, and assist with delivery of materials Transport and haul materials or dumpsters between job sites and waste facilities Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and compliance Review plans and ensure work aligns with blueprints and specifications Track progress and report to project managers and company leadership Experience & Requirements Minimum 10 years of residential construction experience preferably custom homes and high-end remodeling Must own a heavy-duty truck capable of transporting lumber and materials Must own personal tools Minimum 1 year in a leadership role (Foreman, Journeyman, or Project Manager) Strong knowledge of Southern California building codes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents Skilled in construction math and basic material takeoffs Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Professional interaction with inspectors, homeowners, and subcontractors Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience after 90 days probation period Steady, year-round work with a reputable local builder 401(k) eligibility after one year of full-time employment Opportunity for long-term growth into a full foreman role
