Role:
This is a unique opportunity to learn the business of residential framing from a master craftsman while simultaneously studying how to run a framing operation from a highly successful entrepreneur. The goal of this hire is to discover the right person who - in a relatively short period of time - will grow to become one of the chief leaders within both the framing and administrative parts of the company. If the right benchmarks are met, this person would be rewarded with a significant equity stake in the business itself.
Areas of education include:
End-to-end framing of residential buildings Managing a team of framing laborers, journeymen, and foremen Estimating and bidding projects Billing, payroll, and insurance operations Contract drafting Communicating with owners, general contractors, engineers, interior designers, and fellow subcontractors Much, much more About the

Compensation and Benefits:
$80,000 to $120,000 per year depending on experience Full-time, consistent, year-round work with weekly pay 401(k)
About You:
A passion for craftsmanship, a keen eye for detail, and an entrepreneurial spirit The capacity to care deeply for the product and the team that produces it A strong desire to be engaged on a daily basis and a willingness to go above-and-beyond to produce the highest level of output A gift for leadership while remaining easily coachable and eager to learn A clear communicator via speaking, writing, and drawing Comfortable with the math needed to understand architectural blueprints and can apply those skills in the field
Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior experience in general carpentry and residential framing required
Education:
High school diploma required, college degree preferred
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in reading architectural/structural plans and using carpentry hand and power tools
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to regularly lift and carry at least 100 pounds. The position requires standing, kneeling, and working in physically demanding positions for extended periods.
Safety:
Commitment to following all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA standards.
Tools:
Must own and maintain the essential tools of a journeyman carpenter
Transportation:
Must maintain a valid driver's license and have a reliable truck, preferably with a lumber rack
Location:
Must be able to commute to worksites in northern San Diego County on a daily basis
Certifications:
Must be willing to complete OSHA 10 training prior to employment
Communication Skills:
Fluent English required; Spanish language skills preferred
