Newnan Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week,
Monday-Friday Pay:
34-40 per hour based on experience, plus a 5% bonus on jobs completed ahead of schedule Reports to: Owner About the role We build decks and handle residential renovations in and around Newnan. We're growing, and we need a working foreman to run our crew day to day so the owner can focus on customers and estimates. You'll lead a crew of 2-3 and work alongside them. You own each job from handoff to final walkthrough: the plan, the crew, and the quality. If you've been the person who really runs the jobsite and you want the pay and trust to match, this is that role. What you'll do Review scope, plans, schedule, and labor budget with the owner before each job starts. Set the daily plan, assign work, and train crew members on the job. Do hands-on carpentry, framing, and deck building every day. Order materials and schedule deliveries, equipment, inspections, and any subcontractors ahead of time. Track labor hours, material use, and progress against the plan. Flag problems early and bring a recommended fix. Be the homeowner's daily point of contact for progress updates and questions. Catch requests for extra work and get written approval from the owner before doing it. Keep sites safe, clean, and organized, and protect the customer's home and property. Send the owner a short end-of-day update with photos, work completed, tomorrow's plan, and any decisions needed. Run punch lists and job closeout. What you bring What matters most to us Punctual. You're on site before the crew, every day, and you keep your commitments to homeowners. Trustworthy. Homeowners hand us their keys. We need someone we can count on to do the right thing when no one is watching. A good attitude. You stay positive under pressure, lift your crew up, and treat customers with respect. Experience and skills 3+ years of residential construction experience, including 1+ years leading a crew or running jobs. Strong carpentry skills, especially decks, framing, and residential renovation. Working knowledge of residential building code and the inspection process. Ability to read plans, sequence the work, and build a materials list. A track record of keeping jobs moving without constant oversight. Clear, professional communication with homeowners, crew, subcontractors, and suppliers. Comfort using a smartphone for photos, schedules, time tracking, and updates. Valid driver's license, a reliable personal vehicle for travel between job sites, and an acceptable driving record. Ability to perform active construction work, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in Georgia weather, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must pass a background check and drug screen. You'll be working in customers' homes. What we offer 34-40/hr based on experience for a steady 40-hour week, with time-and-a-half for any approved hours over 40. A bonus of 5% of the job total on every job completed ahead of schedule and passing final walkthrough. Majority of tools and equipment provided. Paid major federal holidays (4-5 per year). 1 week of paid time off (after 90 days) Steady, year-round residential work close to home. A direct line to the owner and real authority to run your jobs. Room to grow as the company adds crews. What success looks like Your crew knows the plan every morning, materials are on site when needed, and homeowners always know where their project stands. Jobs finish on schedule, inside the labor budget, with work you're proud to put your name on. The owner spends their days selling and estimating instead of putting out jobsite fires. How to apply Send your work history or résumé, photos of projects you've built or led, and two references who can speak to your carpentry and crew leadership. The owner reviews every application personally, and qualified candidates get a phone interview first. Southern Renovation and Decking is an equal opportunity employer
