This is a working position. You will work alongside another crew member and receive work orders from a Project Manager. Your job is to take the work order, get the work done correctly, keep the jobsite organized, and keep the crew productive. Our work is varied. We do a lot of demolition along with general construction, repairs, doors and windows, siding, furniture moving, jobsite protection, and other construction-related work. We also occasionally assist our restoration division when needed. We're looking for someone who knows construction, takes pride in their work, and can be trusted to work without constant supervision. Responsibilities Lead and work alongside one other crew member Receive work orders and direction from Project Managers Perform residential and commercial demolition Complete general construction and carpentry work Install and replace doors and windows Perform siding and exterior repairs Perform furniture and contents moving Set up dust control and protect finished areas Assist with attic and insulation work Complete miscellaneous repairs and punch-list work Assist the restoration division when needed Keep jobsites clean and organized Take daily jobsite photos Complete daily logs for each job Communicate job progress and questions to the Project Manager Keep the company van clean, organized, and stocked Maintain and properly care for company tools and equipment What We're Looking For Several years of hands-on construction experience Strong general construction knowledge Demolition experience Comfortable with basic carpentry and framing Experience with doors, windows, siding, and general repairs Comfortable using hand and power tools Able to read and understand a work order Able to work independently Able to lead and train another employee Good problem-solving skills Reliable and dependable Good communication skills Valid driver's license and good driving record Able to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding work Previous foreman or crew-lead experience is preferred, but we care more about what you can actually do than what your previous job title was. What We Expect The Project Manager will provide the work order and scope. The Foreman is responsible for getting the work done. We need someone who doesn't need to be babysat. You should be able to show up, understand the work, get yourself and the other crew member moving, and take pride in the finished product. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate daily logs and photos and maintaining the company van, tools, and equipment. When you run into an unexpected condition or have a question about the scope, communicate with the Project Manager before proceeding. Pay:
$26.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 50.0 per week
