Eastern Iowa Builders (EIB) is looking for an experienced Construction Foreman / Field Crew Supervisor to lead construction projects throughout Eastern Iowa. We're looking for a hands-on construction leader who knows how to run a crew, read a set of plans, solve problems in the field, maintain high-quality standards, and still grab a tool when the job calls for it. Post-frame experience is highly valued, but it isn't the only path to EIB. Experienced carpenters and construction leaders from agricultural, commercial, residential, structural framing, and other building backgrounds are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do This is a working Foreman position , not a clipboard-only supervisory role. You'll lead from the front, working alongside your crew while taking ownership of safety, quality, productivity, and the daily execution of the project.
You'll:
Lead, train, motivate, and develop your construction crew Work alongside your crew as a hands-on field leader Build post-frame, agricultural, commercial, and wood-framed structures Perform and oversee structural carpentry and framing Lay out buildings and organize work from construction plans Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings Plan daily manpower, materials, tools, and equipment Set production expectations and keep work moving Look ahead and eliminate potential jobsite delays Monitor craftsmanship, quality, safety, and productivity Troubleshoot construction challenges and make sound field decisions Hold crew members accountable while building a strong team Communicate with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors, and field leadership Take ownership of your jobsite from start through completion The Experience We're Looking For We're less concerned about the exact title on your current business card and more interested in what you've built and who you've led.

Post-frame / pole barn construction Agricultural construction Farm and livestock buildings Barndominiums Commercial carpentry Structural wood framing Residential framing Commercial wood-frame construction Metal roofing and siding Building additions Exterior construction Structural carpentry General construction crew leadership Post-frame and agricultural construction experience will immediately get our attention. However, if you're a strong carpenter, framing leader, construction foreman, or working superintendent who understands building construction from the ground up, we'd still like to hear from you. What Makes Someone Successful Here? You don't have to come from EIB's exact construction background. You do need to be someone who: Knows construction and takes pride in craftsmanship Has strong hands-on carpentry and/or framing skills Has successfully led people in the field Understands how buildings come together from start to finish Can read blueprints, plans, and construction drawings Understands construction sequencing and production Plans ahead instead of constantly reacting Can make decisions when challenges arise Holds people accountable while earning their respect Takes safety seriously Wants responsibility and ownership Has a valid driver's license Can travel to regional jobsites as needed Already Working Somewhere Else? Pay:
$85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
