Nature's Perspective Landscaping, a locally owned company serving Evanston, Chicago, and the North Shore since 1979, is seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman / Crew Leader. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for guiding a crew through all phases of residential and commercial landscape construction projects, from site preparation to final cleanup. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work while fostering a positive team environment. This is a seasonal, full-time position with work scheduled Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays during peak season. Responsibilities Lead and work alongside a crew on hardscape and landscape construction projects. Interpret construction plans, lay out projects, and oversee grading, paving, drainage, base preparation, and installation work. Direct the installation and demolition of patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Coordinate daily crew assignments, materials, tools, and equipment. Maintain job-site safety, quality workmanship, productivity, and organized cleanup. Communicate effectively with managers, clients, and crew members, and complete required reporting. Qualifications Minimum of three years of professional hardscape construction experience, including crew leadership. Experience in masonry and hardscape installation, including stone flatwork, vertical hardscape, and retaining walls. Ability to read construction plans, establish layouts and grades, and organize projects. Experience with plant installations, bed renovations, soil preparation, transplanting, and mulching. Proficient in safely operating landscape construction tools and equipment. Ability to work outdoors, perform physical labor, and lift up to 50 pounds. Valid Class C driver's license and a safe driving record. Strong English communication skills; Spanish language skills are a plus. Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States. Compensation $21$28 per hour , based on experience. Overtime pay is available.
