Job Description
Build With Us. Not Just For Us. At Basement2Finish, Inc., we turn unused basements into the best rooms in the house: home theaters, guest suites, bars, gyms, offices and family spaces. Our homeowners come to us ready to build. What we need now is a bench of skilled, reliable trade partners who take pride in their work and want steady, well-organized jobs across the western and southwest Chicago suburbs. If you're tired of chasing payments, showing up to sites that aren't ready, or working for GCs who don't respect your trade, read on. We run organized projects, schedule trades in the right order and treat our subs like partners. Trades We're Looking For Core trades:
- Framing and rough carpentry
- Plumbing (rough-in, fixtures, bathrooms, wet bars, ejector and sump pits)
- Electrical (rough-in, finish, recessed lighting, panels, low-voltage)
- HVAC (ductwork, returns, mini-splits, bathroom exhaust)
- Spray foam and batt insulation
- Drywall hanging and finishing (Level 4 and 5)
- Painting
- Finish carpentry (trim, doors, built-ins, stairs and railings)
- Tile (showers, floors, backsplashes, bar areas)
- Luxury vinyl plank and other flooring Specialty and support trades:
- Egress windows and concrete cutting
- Basement waterproofing and drain tile
- Concrete (floor leveling, slab repair, ramps)
- Demolition and haul-away
- Cabinetry and countertops (wet bars, kitchenettes, bathrooms)
- Glass and shower doors, plus mirrors
- Drop and acoustic ceilings
- Home theater, AV and smart-home wiring
- Fireplace and electric fireplace installation
- Radon mitigation
- Post-construction cleaning What You Get

- Proven experience in your trade, with residential or basement work preferred
- Licensed where your trade requires it (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
- Current general liability insurance and W-9, plus workers' comp if you have employees
- Your own tools and transportation
- On-time arrival, clean worksites and respect for homeowners' homes
- Clear communication and reliable scheduling
- Quality workmanship that passes inspection the first time
