This is a working foreman position. The selected candidate must be willing to work alongside the crew while providing daily direction, maintaining productivity, and ensuring work is completed safely and correctly. Primary Responsibilities Lead and work alongside a small crew of laborers. Perform post-construction cleanup and project closeout work. Complete punch-list items and other miscellaneous field tasks. Perform light dirt work, including dressing and finishing roadway shoulders. Coordinate daily crew activities, tools, materials, and equipment. Ensure assigned work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Work on and alongside roadways, including active traffic areas and closed construction zones. Set up and maintain safe work areas around the crew. Communicate job progress, material needs, and field issues to supervisors. Qualifications Previous road construction, dirt work, drainage, or civil construction experience is required. Previous foreman or crew-lead experience is Required Must be able to lead employees while also performing physical fieldwork. Must understand basic roadway cleanup, shoulder dressing, and drainage Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to keep a small crew productive. Traffic-control experience is a plus. Current flagger certification is a plus. Flagger training can be provided to the right candidate. Must be comfortable working outdoors and around moving vehicles and construction equipment. Must be able to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday. Experience installing and replacing drainage pipe or cross drains is plus.

Foreman Experience/Education Requirements:

Previous experience as a foreman (2+ years preferred) or mastery of skilled labor position. 2+ years of experience as Foreman. Must be able to perform at a high level all skills related to road construction (both skilled labor and job specific equipment operation). Must be capable of figuring the needed yield and tonnage. Proficient with or able to quickly learn MS Word, Excel, and HeavyJob software. Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs. Clean driving record/valid drivers' license. Manually lift/carry 50-100 lbs. Stand, walk, sit, kneel, crouch, or crawl for long periods of time. Ability to perform all required tasks during all weather conditions (hot/cold), and to work extended hours, as needed.
