LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN
We are an established Landscape & Construction Company located in Waltham, MA seeking an honest, motivated individual with a minimum of 5 years experience as a Landscape Construction Foreman. This is a full time position . Job applicants should meet the following criteria:
EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience leading a team in the following: Site work (Excavation, Grading, Drainage & Utilities) Hardscape (Walls, Walkways, Steps, Terraces, Fireplaces, Outdoor Kitchens, Water features, Driveways, etc.), Landscape (Planting, Lawn Installation, Low-voltage Landscape Lighting, some knowledge of Irrigation a plus.) Foreman's abilities must include proficiency in machine operation (skid steer and mini-excavator, larger machinery a plus).
Duties/Responsibilities:
Site work preparation to include, excavation, grading, drainage, and utilities installation Hardscape construction to include, walls, walkways, steps, terraces, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, water features, driveways, etc. Landscape installation to include, planting, lawn installation, low-voltage landscape lighting, and irrigation systems
Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough understanding of machine operation, to include skid steer, mini-excavator, and larger machinery Have strong leadership skills & ability to lead by example Able to communicate effectively with sub-contractors, clients, architects, and management. Organizational skills are also required, as the foreman is responsible for filling out and keeping track of daily foreman logs, job sheets, and timecards. Ability to keep crews on task and manage production, while still maintaining a high level of quality work is essential.
Education and Experience/Licenses:
High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience Valid driver's license Hydraulic License DOT Certificate (acquired within one month after date of hire)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to physically operate landscape machines and equipment. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand. Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Must have a reliable vehicle
