Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Commercial Carpentry Foreman who is willing to oversee and manage commercial carpentry projects across various locations. This leadership role involves supervising teams, coordinating construction schedules, reviewing technical drawings, and ensuring safety compliance on-site. The ideal candidate will bring strong construction management skills, extensive site experience, and a passion for delivering quality work on time and within budget. Duties Lead and manage multiple carpentry crews across different project sites, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines. Deep technical knowledge of heavy/light-gauge metal stud framing, exterior gypsum sheathing, shaft wall systems, drywall hanging/finishing, and standard/specialty ACT suspension systems. Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to interpret project requirements accurately. Coordinate construction schedules using PlanGrid or other construction management software to optimize resource allocation and project progression. Supervise daily site activities, enforce safety protocols in accordance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations, and conduct regular safety meetings. Oversee quality control measures, including blueprint reading, construction drawing review, and inspection of completed work to meet specifications. Manage project budgets by tracking costs, reviewing contracts, and coordinating with project managers for accurate forecasting. Monitor project scope closely. Identify field variances or out-of-scope requests, document the tracking metrics, and coordinate with the Project Manager to execute change orders before proceeding. Utilize tools such as ProCore, PlanGrid, etc. for project documentation, measurement verification, and technical assessments. Must have the unconditional ability and willingness to travel out-of-town for overnight projects regularly. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Skills Proven experience managing teams in a construction management role with strong supervisory skills. Extensive construction site experience with a solid understanding of heavy commercial projects. Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore & PlanGrid for scheduling and documentation purposes. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans accurately. Skilled in construction estimating, budgeting, and managing contracts effectively.
