Job Description

Gilk Services is seeking an experienced Lead Plumber to oversee plumbing installations for new residential and light-commercial construction projects. This hands-on leadership position is responsible for coordinating field activities, supervising plumbing crews, ensuring code-compliant installations, and completing projects safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong new-construction plumbing experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead crews through underground, rough-in, top-out, and finish phases. Key Responsibilities Execute field operations on a daily basis Lead, hire, train, and manage plumbing team performance Coordinate daily schedules, job assignments, and field operations with coordinator Oversee project estimating, planning, and execution Monitor job costs, budgets, and overall profitability Ensure quality, safety, and code compliance on all jobs Manage materials, inventory, and vendor relationships Handle customer issues and maintain strong client relationships Oversee invoicing, collections, and job financials Track team productivity and billable hours Support process improvements and operational efficiency Handle basic administrative communication and documentation Required Qualifications At least five years of plumbing experience, with significant experience in new residential or light-commercial construction. Previous experience leading plumbing crews or serving as a foreman. Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, construction methods, and jobsite safety requirements. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, elevations, and plumbing plans. Experience with underground, rough-in, top-out, fixture installation, and system testing. Ability to plan work, manage priorities, and meet construction schedules. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Ability to provide and properly maintain required hand and power tools. Plumbing license or certification as required by applicable state or local regulations. Company Benefits
