Claremont, NC Job Description This role supports the daily execution and coordination of plumbing field activities on a construction project. You oversee multiple crews, manage tools and materials, and ensure that plumbing work proceeds safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project scope, schedule, and quality expectations. You serve as a key link between field operations and project leadership, providing accurate documentation, proactive layout coordination, and effective cross-trade communication. Responsibilities Support the daily execution and coordination of plumbing field activities on a large-scale construction project. Coordinate daily work activities with field leadership, including operating engineers, labor teams, and quality control/quality assurance personnel. Provide proactive, forward-looking layout coordination to maintain continuity across plumbing work and adjacent trades. Distribute plumbing materials to the proper work locations in advance of installation activities to keep crews productive. Create and submit required jobsite documentation, including daily pre-task safety analyses, hot-work permits, ground-disturbance reports, ladder-inspection reports, and other contractor-required forms. Report to designated plumbing or project leadership and keep them informed of progress, issues, and resource needs. Oversee assigned plumbing crews and supporting field functions to maintain compliance with project scope, schedule, quality standards, and safety requirements. Coordinate and manage tools, equipment, and materials required for daily plumbing operations, ensuring availability and proper use. Attend daily coordination meetings with plumbing and project leadership to align on priorities, constraints, and upcoming work. Prepare and submit detailed daily reports through BuildOps or a comparable field-reporting platform, including category-specific labor hours, progress photos, and employee sign-in sheets. Communicate manpower needs, productivity levels, material requirements, and field constraints to project leadership in a timely manner. Support plumbing installation activities, including work with cast iron, PVC, soldered systems, and other new construction plumbing components as needed. Assist with interpreting and implementing plumbing blueprints and construction documents to guide field work. Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring completion of all required safety documentation and adherence to jobsite safety practices. Essential Skills Proven commercial or industrial plumbing field-leadership experience, including oversight of multiple crews. Strong ability to coordinate multiple crews, materials, tools, equipment, and daily documentation in a fast-paced construction environment. Demonstrated experience in plumbing installation for new construction projects, including cast iron, PVC, and soldered systems. Ability to read and interpret plumbing blueprints and construction documents. Strong plumbing layout and sequencing skills to support efficient installation and cross-trade coordination. OSHA 30 certification (required). Ability to prepare and submit accurate daily reports, including labor hours, progress photos, and sign-in sheets. Effective communication skills to collaborate with field leadership, trades, and project stakeholders. Ability to pass a drug screening. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using BuildOps or a comparable field-reporting platform (preferred). Experience with cross-trade coordination on commercial or industrial construction projects. Familiarity with quality control/quality assurance processes in plumbing installations. Strong documentation habits for safety, permitting, and inspection requirements. Comfort working in a highly coordinated, schedule-driven construction environment. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
