This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can plan the work, guide the crew, solve problems in the field, communicate with customers and project teams, and help deliver safe, high-quality electrical installations and service work. Key Responsibilities Lead daily field electrical work, including crew direction, task planning, job-site readiness, safety, quality, and progress updates. Support and coach Electrical Leads and Electrical Technicians while helping keep the crew productive, organized, and aligned with the approved scope of work. Review drawings, labor requests, hand-offs, materials, shutdowns, access needs, safety requirements, and installation details before work begins. Turn approved drawings, specifications, labor requests, and field conditions into clear daily work plans for the crew. Coordinate with the supervisors, project managers, estimators, customers, other trades, and assigned field personnel. Track job progress against labor requests, budgeted hours, and schedules; raise concerns early when scope, labor, material, schedule, cost, safety, or customer expectations may be affected. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems, including conduit, wiring, switchgear, motor controls, control panels, conveyors, lighting, power supplies, PLC/control wiring, and related equipment. Read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and installation details to support accurate field execution. Maintain compliance with Zajac standards, customer requirements, NEC, OSHA, state licensing requirements, and job-site safety expectations. Complete pre-job and post-work walkthroughs to confirm safety, quality, labeling, cleanup, markups/as-builts, and readiness for customer review, testing, energization, or turnover. Complete and submit required project documentation, such as daily service sheets, timecards, risk assessments, toolbox talks, inspections, LOTO paperwork, as-builts, photos, material lists, and Control Board attachments. Maintain clean, organized jobsites, tools, materials, finished work areas, and company vehicles in accordance with Zajac policies. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of electrical industry experience, including experience leading crews or directing multiple Leads/Technicians on assigned projects. Valid New Hampshire or Maine state electrical license required; Vermont and Massachusetts licenses are preferred. Strong industrial electrical knowledge, including materials, tools, wiring methods, troubleshooting, motor controls, PLC/control wiring, and electrical theory. Ability to read and work from schematics, blueprints, one-line diagrams, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and installation details. Strong understanding of job-site safety, NEC requirements, OSHA guidelines, customer standards, and state/local requirements. Clear communication skills with the ability to work professionally with customers, supervisors, project managers, estimators, and field crews. Ability to organize work, solve field issues, manage priorities, meet deadlines, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently. Comfort using company systems such as Control Board, Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel for communication and documentation. Knowledge of food, beverage, dairy, personal care, or pharmaceutical industry environments is preferred. Able to work overtime and paid travel as requested and lift up to 50 lbs.
