Custom Homes, Additions & Renovations Build Quality Projects. Build a Long-Term Career. Boyers Construction is looking for an experienced residential construction professional who combines exceptional craftsmanship with the ability to lead crews, coordinate daily jobsite operations, and maintain high standards of quality and productivity. Our projects include custom homes, additions, and detailed renovations where sound construction practices, attention to detail, and the finished product matter. This is a hands-on working foreman position with project management responsibilities—not a supervision-only role. You'll perform skilled construction work alongside your crew while helping manage daily field operations, planning, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and project completion in support of the Project Manager and/or Site Superintendent. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and wants to build a long-term career with a growing company. What You'll Do Build with craftsmanship: Perform skilled work including layout, framing, sheathing, demolition, windows and doors, siding, exterior trim, interior carpentry, cabinetry, and finish work.
Lead and develop:
Work alongside your crew, establish daily assignments, maintain productivity and workmanship standards, mentor employees, and plan ahead for labor, materials, and equipment.
Coordinate and plan:
Help organize subcontractors, deliveries, material staging, site access, and inspections. Anticipate scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and upcoming project needs.
Maintain quality and safety:
Hold high workmanship standards from rough construction through final finishes. Review work against plans, address deficiencies before work is concealed, protect existing finishes, and maintain a clean, safe jobsite that respects the customer's home.
Manage field communication:
Provide progress updates, photos, and material needs. Communicate professionally with homeowners and subcontractors, identify potential delays early, and route scope questions or customer-requested changes through project management. What You Bring 7+ years of verifiable hands-on construction experience (10+ preferred) with substantial custom residential, addition, or renovation experience. Proven experience as a working foreman, lead carpenter, or crew leader, supported by representative projects and professional references. Strong carpentry skills, accurate layout abilities, plan-reading proficiency, and a practical understanding of construction sequencing and proper installation methods. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a crew while remaining personally productive in skilled construction work.
Ownership and versatility:
The ability to anticipate challenges, take responsibility for results, and work across rough construction, exterior improvements, interior finishes, and project completion. Experience limited to one repetitive trade will not meet the requirements. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with comfort using digital drawings, jobsite photos, and project-management tools. Buildertrend experience is a plus. What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience, craftsmanship, and leadership ability. Company vehicle or vehicle allowance. 401(k) with company match. Competitive health care plan. Profit-sharing program. Long-term career growth with varied projects, direct access to company leadership, and opportunities to take on greater project management and field-leadership responsibilities. How to Apply Apply through our website at www.boyersconstruction.com or email your resume to hr@boyersconstruction.com with the subject line "Residential Working Foreman." Professional references verifying experience, craftsmanship, and leadership will be required. Candidates must be able to perform the essential hands-on duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Benefits and vehicle arrangements are subject to applicable plan terms and company policies.
