Job Description

We are a family-owned electrical contracting company seeking a highly skilled and dependable Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead our on-site operations. In this role, you are the face of our company on the job site, responsible for driving project completion, ensuring safety, and upholding our standard of craftsmanship. Because we are family-owned, we operate without corporate red tape—you will work directly with ownership and project management to solve problems, mentor your crew, and deliver projects on time and on budget. Key Responsibilities Project & Site Management Direct and coordinate all on-site electrical operations for commercial ground-up and tenant improvement projects. Read, interpret, and execute work based on electrical blueprints, specifications, and submittals. Perform layout, assign tasks, and maintain a 2-to-3-week look-ahead schedule to ensure project milestones are met. Coordinate directly with General Contractors, building officials, and other trades to prevent delays and resolve site conflicts. Manage material ordering, receive deliveries, and maintain organized, secure job site inventory. Submit accurate daily reports, timecards, and as-built drawing updates. Team Leadership & Mentorship Supervise, lead, and work alongside a crew of journeymen and apprentices. Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment that aligns with our core family-business values. Train and mentor apprentices on best practices, commercial installation techniques, and NEC code compliance. Monitor crew productivity and address performance issues directly and constructively. Quality & Safety Assurance Ensure all electrical installations meet or exceed the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local municipality requirements. Conduct weekly "Toolbox Talk" safety meetings and enforce OSHA compliance across the job site. Identify safety hazards and implement immediate corrective actions. Oversee final walk-throughs, testing, and system commissioning prior to project handover.

Valid State Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
Experience:
5+ years of commercial electrical experience, with a minimum of 2+ years serving as a Foreman or Lead Electrician.
