Marine Pipefitter Supervisor Accent Resource Consultants 1320 London Boulevard, Portsmouth, VA 23704 Hybrid work $31.78 - $40.00 an hour - Full-time $31.78 - $40.00 an hour - Full-time We are looking for a Marine Pipe Fitter Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and supervise the fabrication, installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of piping systems aboard ships, offshore platforms, and other marine vessels. This supervisor ensures that work is completed safely, accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and marine regulations. Key Responsibilities Supervise pipe fitters, welders, fabricators, helpers, and subcontractors during daily operations. Plan and assign work based on project schedules, priorities, labor availability, and material requirements. Interpret piping isometric drawings, arrangement drawings, schematics, specifications, and work packages. Oversee the fabrication, assembly, installation, modification, and repair of marine piping systems. Verify pipe routing, dimensions, alignment, slopes, flange orientation, valves, fittings, and supports. Coordinate hot-work permits, confined-space entry, lockout/tagout, gas testing, and other safety requirements. Ensure piping materials and components meet the required specifications, pressure ratings, and service classifications. Monitor welding preparation, fit-up, joint configuration, and compliance with approved welding procedures. Coordinate inspections, hydrostatic tests, pneumatic tests, flushing, leak testing, and system commissioning. Identify technical or production problems and work with engineering, quality, planning, and operations teams to resolve them. Inspect completed work for compliance with drawings, tolerances, quality requirements, and classification standards. Track labor hours, materials, tools, equipment, productivity, and project progress. Maintain daily reports, inspection records, test documentation, punch lists, and material records. Conduct toolbox talks, job hazard analyses, and pre-job safety meetings. Train, coach, and evaluate employees while promoting safe and efficient working practices. Maintain good housekeeping and ensure tools and equipment are used correctly. Report safety incidents, quality issues, material shortages, delays, and changes in work scope. Qualifications High school diploma, technical certificate, or equivalent trade qualification. Significant experience in marine, shipyard, offshore, or industrial pipe fitting. Previous experience as a lead pipe fitter, foreman, or piping supervisor. Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, repair, testing, and commissioning. Ability to read piping isometrics, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Familiarity with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper-nickel, and other marine piping materials. Knowledge of valves, flanges, fittings, gaskets, pipe supports, and pressure classifications. Understanding of welding processes, weld preparation, and quality-control requirements. Knowledge of marine safety procedures, including hot work, confined-space entry, fall protection, and lockout/tagout. Familiarity with applicable shipyard standards, classification-society rules, and regulatory requirements. Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills. Ability to estimate labor and material requirements and manage multiple work priorities. Relevant safety, supervisory, or trade certifications may be required. Pay:

$31.78 - $40.00 per hour
