This role provides field leadership, coordinates daily work activities, and ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical pipefitting knowledge with proven leadership experience and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Project Oversight Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily plumbing activities Lead field crews and ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule Delegate tasks, monitor productivity, and maintain workflow efficiency Serve as the on-site leader and primary point of contact for assigned crews Support project schedules and coordinate manpower requirements Technical Execution Install, fabricate, and repair commercial and industrial piping systems Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and P&ID schematics Perform and oversee large-bore pipe installation, fitting, and welding activities Ensure all work complies with project specifications, industry standards, and applicable codes Troubleshoot piping system issues and identify effective solutions Materials, Tools & Coordination Assist with material takeoffs and verify tools, equipment, and supplies are available Coordinate workflow and project sequencing with other trades on site Monitor material usage and help maintain project efficiency Ensure jobsite organization and productivity Safety & Quality Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times Conduct quality checks and address issues promptly Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and craftsmanship Communication & Team Development Communicate effectively with Project Managers, contractors, vendors, and customers Mentor and develop junior plumbers and apprentices Foster teamwork and a positive jobsite culture Support employee development through coaching and leadership Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience Previous leadership, supervisory, or foreman experience preferred Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and P&ID schematics Experience with large-bore weld pipe installation and preparation Thorough knowledge of fitting takeoffs for threaded and welded piping systems Experience working with: Carbon steel piping Stainless steel piping and tubing PVC and copper systems Welded piping systems Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must possess the required hand tools for the trade Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred Ability to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and applicable background checks Commitment to company policies, procedures, and safety standards Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and team-building abilities Advanced plumbing and installation knowledge Effective planning and organizational skills Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction Professional communication and interpersonal skills Work Environment & Physical Requirements This is a hands-on leadership position performed in commercial and industrial construction environments. Physical and environmental requirements may include: Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending, crouching, and reaching Lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment up to 50 pounds Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Use of hand tools, power tools, and trade-specific equipment Occasional extended driving between job sites Exposure to construction materials, jobsite conditions, and mechanical systems Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
