$30-35 per hour About Amcon Pool & Spa Amcon Pool & Spa is a growing custom pool construction, remodeling, and service company serving Western Washington. We specialize in high-end in-ground concrete pools and spas, fiberglass pools, remodels, and related outdoor construction. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Construction Foreman / Crew Lead to lead daily field work on custom swimming pool and spa projects. This position is for someone who can work alongside the crew while also leading it. You should be comfortable reading plans, laying out work, assigning tasks, keeping people productive, anticipating materials, and making sure work is completed safely and correctly. This position reports to our Monroe shop each morning before traveling with the construction crew to active jobsites, primarily throughout Snohomish and King Counties. Pool construction experience is a plus, but it is not required. Strong construction fundamentals, leadership, reliability, and the ability to learn are more important. What You'll Do Lead the crew's daily work on active pool construction and remodeling projects Work hands-on alongside the crew Read plans and translate them into daily field tasks Lay out work and clearly communicate assignments and expectations Keep the crew productive and focused on the correct priorities Confirm necessary tools, equipment, and materials are available before work begins Anticipate upcoming material and equipment needs Perform and oversee forming, plumbing, steel/rebar, equipment installation, demolition, and general pool-construction tasks Check measurements, elevations, layout, and workmanship Maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites Protect customers' homes, landscaping, hardscape, and completed finishes Document progress and communicate field conditions or problems Train and support less-experienced crew members Identify blockers early and communicate them to the Superintendent or Operations Manager Help prepare jobsites for subcontractors, inspections, and upcoming phases What We're Looking For Qualifications include: 3+ years of hands-on construction experience preferred Previous foreman, crew lead, lead carpenter, concrete lead, excavation lead, or similar leadership experience strongly preferred Ability to read plans, take measurements, lay out work, and follow specifications Hands-on experience with relevant construction trades such as concrete, forming, plumbing/PVC, excavation, rebar/steel, equipment installation, masonry, or hardscape Ability to lead people while remaining productive and hands-on in the field Good judgment and the ability to solve routine field problems without constant direction Ability to anticipate materials and flag potential problems before they delay the crew Reliable attendance and strong communication Attention to workmanship and detail Respect for customers' homes and property Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to perform physical construction work outdoors in Western Washington conditions Ability to report to our Monroe shop each workday and travel with the construction crew to jobsites throughout Snohomish and King Counties What Success Looks Like at Amcon A successful Foreman / Crew Lead doesn't simply complete assigned work.
