Come Run Your Own Projects S3 Arizona is hiring 1-2 experienced Construction Survey Crew Chiefs / Party Chiefs for our growing construction surveying operation in Gilbert, Arizona. If you are an experienced Crew Chief who knows construction staking, can read plans, solve problems in the field, communicate with contractors, and run a project without someone constantly looking over your shoulder, we want to talk to you. At S3, we don't micromanage experienced Crew Chiefs. We hire experienced people because we want people we can trust. Once you're assigned a project, you run it. You'll work directly with contractors and superintendents, make field decisions, take ownership of your work, and get the job done. What You'll Be Doing S3 Arizona specializes heavily in construction surveying and construction staking . Our projects include commercial and industrial developments, roadways, utilities, municipal infrastructure, large-scale solar, grading, and site development.

Typical field work includes:

Construction staking Project control and localization Rough grade staking Building corners and offsets Building pad staking Building pad bluetops Curb and gutter staking Storm drain staking Sewer staking Water staking Dry utility staking Roadway staking Wall and fence staking Finish-grade staking Bluetops and grade checks As-built surveys Topographic surveys You'll communicate directly with contractors and superintendents and be responsible for running your assigned projects accurately and efficiently. What We're Looking For This is an experienced Crew Chief position. We're looking for someone who can independently run a construction survey crew and construction staking project. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of construction surveying / construction staking experience Previous Survey Crew Chief or Party Chief experience Strong construction plan-reading skills Strong understanding of construction staking procedures and tolerances Experience with Trimble GPS Experience with robotic total stations Experience with Trimble data collectors Ability to perform field calculations and solve problems independently Ability to establish and verify project control Ability to communicate professionally with contractors and superintendents Ability to manage your own project and daily workload Strong attention to accuracy Valid driver's license Clean driving record Dependable and professional Experience with Trimble Site Works, TSC7, Civil 3D and/or Trimble Business Center is a plus.
