• Work directly alongside the General Contractor or Foreman on residential foundation repair, stabilization, and structural projects.
• Perform physically demanding construction work, including digging, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, and moving building materials.
• Regularly lift and carry 50+ pounds.
• Crawl and work underneath homes and in crawl spaces with limited clearance.
• Assist with foundation repairs, structural reinforcement, shoring, framing, and related construction work.
• Safely operate power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment.
• Operate heavy machinery and equipment based on experience and proper training.
• Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and construction materials.
• Prepare job sites and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow project plans, measurements, and instructions from the General Contractor.
• Identify potential job site concerns and communicate issues quickly and directly.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
• Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. Experience We're Looking For
• Previous construction, general labor, concrete, framing, foundation, excavation, or similar hands-on trade experience is preferred.
• Foundation repair or structural construction experience is a plus, but not required for the right person.
• Experience operating construction equipment or heavy machinery is preferred.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
• Ability to reliably travel to job sites throughout the Santa Barbara area.

Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding construction position. The employee must be able to regularly lift 50+ pounds; stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and crawl for extended periods; work in confined crawl spaces and underneath residential structures; climb ladders and navigate uneven job sites; and safely perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.

Position Details Compensation:

$25-$35 per hour, depending on construction experience, qualifications, equipment proficiency, and ability to work independently.

Schedule:

Part-time, Monday through Friday, based on project scheduling and workload. Optional weekend work may occasionally be available.

Employment Type:

Part-time, with the potential to grow into a full-time position based on workload, performance, and company needs.

Work Location:

Residential job sites throughout the Santa Barbara area.

Expected hours:

Approximately 16-30 hours per week, with hours varying based on active projects.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
