Waste & Sanitation Service Laborer Jansky's Rubbish Removal Company - East Haddam, CT Jansky's Rubbish is a local, family-owned waste and sanitation company serving our surrounding communities. We take pride in providing dependable service, keeping our equipment clean and well-maintained, and treating our customers the way we would want to be treated. We are looking to add a dependable, hardworking person to our crew. This is primarily a hands-on labor position working across both our residential trash collection and portable toilet divisions. A CDL is not required. For the right person with a valid driver's license and a good driving record, there may also be opportunities to operate some of our smaller, non-CDL trucks. What You'll Be Doing Work on residential trash and recycling routes, including riding on the back of a rear-load truck and collecting containers Assist with portable toilet service, including pumping, cleaning, deliveries, pickups, and setups Help clean and maintain trucks, portable toilets, equipment, and the shop Potentially operate non-CDL company trucks as you gain experience and demonstrate safe, responsible driving What We're Looking For This is a physical job. You will be working outdoors in different weather conditions, getting on and off trucks, moving equipment, and working at a steady pace throughout the day. We are looking for someone who: Is dependable, shows up on time, and is ready to work Works hard, maintains a steady pace, and takes initiative without always needing direction Works well as part of a crew, pays attention to their surroundings, and works safely Takes pride in their work and treats company trucks and equipment with care Is willing to learn different parts of the business and take on additional responsibilities A valid driver's license and a good driving record are preferred for applicants interested in operating company vehicles. Experience in waste collection, sanitation, landscaping, construction, excavation, farming, delivery, or other physical outdoor work is helpful but not required . Pay:
