What We Will Train You To Do Underground fiber and conduit placement Hand digging and safely exposing utilities Trenching operations Pneumatic piercing/missile operations Underground construction procedures Conduit installation Job-site setup and safety Proper use of construction tools and equipment Backfilling and property restoration Safe work practices around existing utilities Daily Responsibilities Hand digging and exposing utilities Shoveling, raking, and backfilling Installing underground conduit and fiber pathways Assisting equipment operators Moving tools, materials, conduit, and equipment Restoring grass and disturbed areas Setting up and cleaning job sites Keeping trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment organized Following instructions from crew leaders and supervisors Who We're Looking For We are willing to train someone with the right attitude and work ethic. You do not need fiber construction experience before you start. We're looking for someone who: Shows up every day and on time Wants to learn a skilled trade Isn't afraid of hard physical work Can take direction Works well with a crew Takes safety seriously Wants to grow with the company Is interested in taking on more responsibility as they gain experience Landscaping, excavation, construction, utility, irrigation, drainage, or telecommunications experience is a plus, but fiber experience is not required. Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Must be able to reliably commute to assigned job sites Must be willing and able to travel to different job sites as work locations change Able to lift at least 50 lbs. Able to perform physical labor throughout the workday Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Comfortable working around construction equipment Dependable and punctual Able to follow company and job-site safety procedures Must be able to pass company-required screening This is a field construction position. Work locations can change based on current projects, and employees are responsible for being able to report to their assigned job site on time.
