Posted on August 10, 2026 Published By Lauren Melik Trillium Construction is hiring Construction Laborers for an airport runway lighting and carpentry project in Perry, Iowa.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding construction position working outdoors. Construction, electrical, or carpentry experience is preferred, but all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Pay rate is $40.00 per hour. Schedule is Monday-Friday, approximately 40 hours per week. The project runs through September. This is a two-phase project and is not expected to provide continuous work throughout the entire period. Depending on the project schedule, employees may work for approximately one month, have approximately one month off, and then return for the second phase. Candidates should be comfortable with this schedule before applying.
Job Duties:
Assist with installation of airport runway lighting
Digging and trenching
Running and pulling wire
Assist with carpentry work
Bending, kneeling, crawling, and working on hands and knees
Lifting and moving construction materials
Performing physical labor in outdoor conditions
Follow all airport and construction safety procedures This position involves physically demanding outdoor work.
Employees may be exposed to:
Excavation and trenching
Underground utilities and electrical systems
Heavy construction equipment
Uneven or rough terrain
Dust, debris, and construction noise
Heat, rain, wind, and other outdoor weather conditions
Frequent bending, kneeling, crawling, and lifting
Slip, trip, and fall hazards
