The Role We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Telecom Construction Laborer to join our underground utility and Outside Plant (OSP) construction team. You will work alongside experienced crews supporting the installation and maintenance of underground telecommunications and utility infrastructure. This is a hands-on construction position that requires frequent travel to project locations and may involve extended periods away from home. Previous underground utility, telecommunications, fiber optic, or OSP experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with underground utility and OSP construction activities. Perform general labor including digging, excavation, trenching, material handling, and site restoration. Assist crews with the installation, placement, and maintenance of underground infrastructure and related materials. Support equipment operators and other crew members with daily construction activities. Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment as trained and authorized. Load, unload, stage, and move materials, tools, and equipment. Set up work areas and maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites. Follow company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and jobsite requirements while identifying and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions.
Travel Requirements:
Travel is a major part of this position. Frequent travel to project locations, including outside the local area. Overnight stays and extended periods away from home may be required. Must be willing to travel with the crew and stay in company-arranged accommodations when applicable. Overtime, weekends, and extended workdays may be required.
Experience & Qualifications:
Construction, underground utility, telecommunications, fiber optic, or OSP experience preferred.
OSHA 10/30
certification is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn. Ability to pass required pre-employment screening. Authorized to work in the U.S. Valid driver's license required.
