Job Details Pay:

$15.00 - $50.00 per hour (Based on experience; higher rates for candidates moving into leadership)

Job Type:

Contract (1099) | Full-Time, Part-Time, or Project-Based available

Location:

In person (Various residential job sites across Lawrence, Kansas City, and Topeka areas)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday (Typical 8-10 hour shifts; occasional weekends based on project needs)

Trial Period:

1-3 days paid working trial to evaluate skills and reliability

Position Summary:

We are a growing residential construction company specializing in high-quality home building, decks, and remodeling. We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team on a contract basis. This position features a 1-to-3-day paid trial period to assess your work ethic and compatibility with our crew. Successful candidates will secure ongoing project-based work.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute Residential Projects:

Assist with hands-on building, including framing, decking, remodeling, and carpentry support.

Site Management & Safety:

Perform general labor tasks such as demolition, efficient material handling, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site.

Tool Operations:

Safely operate a variety of basic hand and power tools.

Team Collaboration:

Follow precise blueprints or verbal instructions from the crew lead/contractor and collaborate seamlessly with team members. Requirements (Must-Haves)

Job Site Capabilities:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently and work comfortably in varying outdoor weather conditions.

Tool Knowledge:

Basic understanding and comfort using hand and power tools safely.

Dependability:

Strong punctuality, consistent attendance, and a great attitude.

Logistics:

Reliable personal transportation to travel to local job sites daily.

Team Mindset:

Ability to take direction well, learn quickly, and work effectively with others. Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves) Prior experience in residential construction, framing, decking, or remodeling. Owning your own basic set of tools is a major plus. Leadership potential, basic crew lead experience, or a strong desire to transition into a Foreman role.
