Job Description:

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting various construction and maintenance projects, primarily involving railroad tie repairs and site groundwork. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values safety, teamwork, and initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy machinery such as backhoes and skid steers to assist with project tasks. Help with railroad tie repairs and ensure materials are properly handled and installed. Use a variety of hand tools including sledgehammers and hammers to support maintenance and construction activities. Participate in site cleanup and prepare work areas for ongoing projects. Assist team members in various tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a strong work ethic. May involve out-of-town travel to project sites, requiring adaptability and dependability.

Qualifications:

Prior experience operating backhoes, skid steers, or similar equipment is preferred. Knowledge of railroad tie repair or extensive construction support experience is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be comfortable using hand tools and manual labor. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed. PPE is provided by company. They do need steel toed laced up boots and high visible short sleeve or long sleeve shirts. No shorts allowed.
