In this energetic role, you will assist skilled tradespeople by performing essential manual tasks, handling materials, operating equipment, and helping ensure safety on-site. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals with a willingness to learn and grow. We are willing to train the right candidates , including individuals who are newer to the construction industry. Experience with carpentry, site work, or heavy equipment operation is a plus. Your enthusiasm and work ethic will contribute directly to the successful completion of construction projects. This position offers an engaging environment where every day presents new challenges and opportunities to develop valuable construction skills. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, grading areas, and organizing materials Load, unload, and transport construction materials safely around the site Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople by providing necessary tools and supplies Assist with carpentry tasks , including measuring, cutting, framing, installation, and general construction work as directed Perform general site work , including excavation support, grading, drainage, material placement, and site cleanup Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, loaders, and other machinery when qualified and authorized Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and machinery under supervision to complete assigned tasks efficiently Help with site cleanup and waste removal to keep the work area organized and hazard-free Participate in safety meetings and report any hazards or incidents immediately to supervisors Work cooperatively with crew members, supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades on the job site Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills Willingness to learn carpentry and general construction skills Basic knowledge or experience with site work is a plus Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly Prior experience in construction, carpentry, site work, or manual labor is a plus but not required We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates reliability, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn Knowledge of construction-site safety procedures is preferred Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools is preferred Reliable transportation to job sites ; punctuality is essential Valid driver's license is a plus What We Look For We value dependable people who are ready to work hard, learn new skills, and become an important part of our construction team.
