Power Component Systems, Inc. (PCS) is immediately hiring dependable, hardworking Demolition Laborers for our Hanover, Maryland division. PCS is a leading provider of specialized environmental construction services throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. We work in federal, industrial, commercial, institutional, transportation, and healthcare facilities. If you are reliable, take safety seriously, and are comfortable performing physically demanding work, we want to hear from you. Job Responsibilities Perform interior and exterior demolition. Remove construction materials, flooring, concrete, and debris. Load, unload, move, and dispose of job-site materials. Assist with job-site preparation and cleanup. Use hand tools and powered equipment when properly trained. Follow supervisor instructions and complete assignments safely. Follow all PCS safety programs and job-site procedures. Complete daily time sheets and required safety documentation. Assist with specialized projects, including asbestos abatement, lead-based paint treatment, mold remediation, water and fire damage restoration, concrete cutting, core drilling, and surface preparation. Travel to different project locations and work out of town when required. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have reliable personal transportation to and from job sites. Many locations are not accessible by public transportation. Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical work throughout shifts of up to 10 hours. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, dusty, and changing weather conditions. Must be available for varying shifts, which may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Must be willing to travel throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia when required. Must be able to meet project-specific requirements for entry into federal and secured facilities. Must follow all company and job-site safety policies. Must comply with the company's drug-free workplace requirements. Preferred Qualifications At least one year of demolition, construction, restoration, environmental remediation, or general labor experience. Experience using construction hand tools and powered equipment. OSHA 10 or other construction safety training. Current asbestos certification. Clean driving record if operating a company vehicle.
