Portland Pump Company is looking for a dependable, motivated Construction Laborer / Installer Trainee to join our petroleum construction team. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, working outdoors, and learning a skilled trade. No petroleum-industry experience is required. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn. The right candidate will start by supporting our construction and installation crews and will have the opportunity to develop their skills with the goal of becoming a Certified Tank Installer (CTI) / Petroleum Equipment Installer. What You'll Do Assist with underground and aboveground petroleum equipment installations Support tank, piping, dispenser, and related construction projects Perform excavation, site preparation, material handling, and general construction duties Operate hand and power tools safely Assist experienced installers and technicians Maintain clean and organized jobsites, trucks, and equipment Follow company and jobsite safety procedures Travel to jobsites throughout Maine and occasionally New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts Learn petroleum construction standards, equipment, and installation practices Opportunity for Growth We are looking for someone who wants to build a career with us .
