Gillmann Services is currently recruiting for Construction Laborers for immediate starts in Grand Haven area

Key Responsibilities:

Safely use company tools, equipment, and materials; prevent damage to company property and client property Assist with site preparation activities including staging materials, unloading supplies, and organizing job sites Break down boxes, crates, and packaging materials; ensure proper disposal of debris in trailers or designated receptacles Assemble, erect, and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, and bracing systems Perform land clearing activities using chain saws and weed whipping devices Support grading activities; manually grade and level surfaces using shovels and rakes Must be willing and able to work in water This job requires overtime during the week and weekends Assist with trench work for installation of PVC and other piping materials Support rigging operations; recognize standard hand signals and follow proper safety procedures Tie commonly used knots including bowline, half hitch, and pressick Set up, operate, and monitor pumps, compressors, generators, and compacting equipment Demonstrate working familiarity with Godwin and Honda pumps Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment including oiling and greasing Compact soil using gas powered compacting devices Position, align, and level machinery, equipment, and temporary structures Install silt fencing and other temporary fencing as required Accurately measure materials and distances using tape measures and other measuring tools Maintain a clean and organized job site; ensure debris is removed and site is secured at the end of each workday Comply with all company safety policies and procedures Perform additional duties as assigned to support project objectives Qualifications and Requirements Valid driver's license required Willingness to travel as needed Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Comfortable working in the water when applicable Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation Please submit resume for immediate
