Construction Laborer Lester Brothers Excavation, Inc. is seeking a dependable, hardworking Construction Laborer to join our crew. This position performs physical labor and supports excavation and site-development projects, including foundations, driveways, septic systems, drainage, underground utilities, demolition, grading, and site restoration. What You'll Do

• Perform manual excavation, backfilling, grading, compacting, and general site work.
• Assist equipment operators, foremen, drivers, and other crew members.
• Install pipe, culverts, drainage components, septic components, and underground utilities as directed.
• Load, unload, carry, and stage tools, materials, pipe, fittings, and supplies.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, compactors, pumps, saws, and other authorized equipment.
• Hand-dig around marked utilities and help protect existing property and infrastructure.
• Spot trucks and equipment using approved hand signals and communication methods.
• Set up and maintain signs, cones, barricades, erosion-control materials, and traffic-control devices.
• Keep jobsites clean, organized, and free of unnecessary hazards.
• Follow all company, OSHA, MIOSHA, and jobsite safety requirements. What We're Looking For
• At least one year of construction labor, excavation, utility, landscaping, concrete, or similar outdoor labor experience is required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Michigan chauffeur's license and DOT medical card.
• Ability to follow instructions, use basic measurements, and learn the safe operation of assigned tools and equipment.
• Reliable attendance and availability for early start times, extended shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends.
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screening, which includes a background check, drug screen, and post-offer physical. Physical and Work Requirements
• This is a physically demanding outdoor position. Employees must be able to work on uneven or muddy terrain for eight or more hours per shift, frequently bend, kneel, climb, reach, push, and pull, and regularly lift 40 to 60 pounds. Occasional lifting of up to 80 pounds may be required.
• Work is performed outdoors in changing weather and around heavy equipment, traffic, open excavations, underground utilities, noise, dust, mud, fumes, and other construction-site conditions.
