Duties Operate material handling equipment such as loaders, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks to load, unload, and transport recyclable and waste materials efficiently. Manage recyclable materials handling processes while adhering to hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with landfill management and solid waste operations by ensuring proper placement and disposal of waste in compliance with environmental standards. Maintain cleanliness of work areas through routine sanitation and debris removal to promote safety and efficiency. Support outdoor work activities including site inspections, equipment checks, and environmental compliance monitoring. Follow safety regulations diligently during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment. Experience Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, or landfill machinery is highly desirable. Knowledge of material handling equipment operation including forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, or garbage trucks. Familiarity with recycling processes, recyclable materials handling, and hazardous materials regulations. Experience working outdoors in physically demanding environments with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence. Mechanical knowledge related to waste management equipment is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while using appropriate PPE. Previous roles in sanitation or solid waste management that involved outdoor work experience are advantageous.
