Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter / Laborer to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and assisting with various labor tasks across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in construction painting while contributing to high-quality craftsmanship on diverse projects. The ideal candidate is energetic, safety-conscious, and eager to learn new techniques in surface preparation and finishing. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and coatings Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), and conventional spray equipment Assist with structural painting tasks such as painting walls, ceilings, beams, and other building elements in residential, commercial, or industrial settings Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks like sanding, scraping, patching holes, or installing fixtures Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately execute painting projects according to project requirements Perform surface repairs including plastering, stucco application, masonry work, or drywall finishing as needed for renovation or restoration projects Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to all safety protocols during work activities Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles related to painting projects Familiarity with color theory for selecting appropriate hues and finishes for different surfaces Experience with residential and commercial painting techniques including brush painting, roller application, and construction spray painting (airless and conventional) Ability to operate ladders safely and efficiently at various heights on construction sites Skilled in surface preparation methods such as sanding, caulking, priming, and surface cleaning Proficient in the use of hand tools (scrapers, putty knives) and power tools (drills, sanders) for various tasks Knowledge of construction site safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection and adherence to safety protocols Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately for precise application of coatings Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to paint quantities and surface areas Experience with fixture installation, trim carpentry, framing or remodeling projects is a plus Join our team if you're ready to build your career in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a visible impact!
