Job Description

M. ERBS Fine Gardens is a well-established landscape design and build firm specializing in high-end residential landscapes throughout Northern New Jersey. Our creative team of designers, office staff, gardeners, and stoneworkers construct and maintain a wide variety of exceptional properties. We are seeking passionate, hardworking, and hands-on crew members to join our landscape construction and maintenance team. Responsibilities Work may include a combination of landscape construction, stonework, and garden maintenance services, including: Bluestone and paver patios/walkways Stone walls and concrete work Drainage, grading, landscape lighting, and planting Planting seasonal flowers, shrubs, and bulbs Weeding, watering, mulching, pruning, and leaf cleanup General property and garden maintenance Assisting supervisors and working collaboratively with team members on job sites We typically report daily to our yard in Boonton at 8:00 AM, though start and end times may vary depending on projects and season. Requirements The ideal candidate will have: At least one (1) year of landscaping, construction, masonry, or stonework experience preferred Reliable transportation to and from our Boonton yard (required) Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical outdoor work Ability to work long hours during the season and in varying weather conditions Positive attitude and strong work ethic Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated personality Ability to follow direction and work both independently and as part of a team Good communication skills — English preferred; bilingual is a plus Clean driver's license and driving record preferred Experience with weeding, planting, pruning, mulching, and general landscape care is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience and knowledge Opportunities for growth within the company 401(k) with employer match If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in craftsmanship, and want to be part of a professional and creative team, we encourage you to apply.
