Job Overview Alden Pools and Play is seeking a motivated and dependable Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our dynamic inground pool construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in operating heavy machinery, supporting excavation and grading projects, and ensuring safety compliance across various construction sites. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality results efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities Operate a variety of construction machinery including excavators, and similar equipment to perform excavation, grading, and utility installation tasks. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. Assist with construction utility work such as trowelling, trenching and plumbing for installation to support infrastructure projects. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to promote a secure work environment. Support construction site activities by performing manual labor tasks such as material handling, site cleanup, and assisting skilled tradespeople. Drive commercial trucks for transporting equipment or materials between sites while adhering to all commercial driving laws and safety standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently and safely. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, in a construction setting. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Mechanical knowledge for routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to perform excavation work and construction grading with precision. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety regulations on job sites. Construction site experience with utility work, excavation, and general labor tasks highly desirable. Strong understanding of equipment safety procedures and the importance of following safety protocols at all times. Knowledge of construction machinery brands like Caterpillar is a plus. Pay:
