NexGen Industrial is an industrial construction company servicing the Energy and Construction industries. Work consists of structural steel repairs, piping, screen maintenance, mechanical work, carpentry, concrete and any other maintenance, welding, or industrial construction & maintenance work needed.

Responsibilities :
The Skilled Laborer / Welder is responsible for performing general labor, fabrication, welding, repair, maintenance, and support tasks in a safe and efficient manner. This position requires hands-on work in industrial, construction, and maintenance.
Job Duties:
General labor Perform welding, cutting, grinding, fabrication, and repair work as assigned. Use welding equipment, torches, grinders, hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and properly. Read and follow basic drawings, measurements, work instructions, and supervisor direction. Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, fitting, aligning, and securing parts. Assist with installation, removal, repair, and maintenance of steel, piping, equipment, guards, platforms, handrails, and other industrial components. Perform general labor duties, including material handling, loading and unloading, cleanup, demolition support, and site preparation. Operate forklifts, manlifts, skid steers, or other equipment when trained and authorized. Inspect tools, equipment, welding leads, hoses, cords, and work areas before use. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies, site rules, OSHA requirements, and customer-specific procedures. Use required personal protective equipment, including welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, face shield, hard hat, hearing protection, fall protection, and respiratory protection when required. Identify and report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, hazards, near misses, and incidents immediately. Assist other trades and crew members as needed to complete assigned work. Perform hot work in accordance with company and customer hot work permit requirements. Ensure fire watch, ventilation, barricades, and housekeeping controls are in place when required. Work at heights, in confined spaces, around mobile equipment, and in industrial environments when properly trained and authorized. Maintain good attendance, follow schedules, and communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members. Complete assigned work in a timely manner while maintaining quality and safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Safety Responsibilities Work Requirements:
1 years experience in coal mine maintenance operations. (Preferred) Mechanically inclined Must be familiar with stick welding processes. (Preferred) 2+ Years stick welding preferred. MSHA Surface Training can be provided. Willing to learn Must be able to pass a hair follicle. (Required) Qualifications Industrial mechanic experience Mechanical knowledge Welding and stick welding skills Ability to interpret schematics and perform precision measurements Strong analytical skills and customer service orientation Strong work ethic Reliability/ Punctuality Willingness to learn

$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
