McMinnville Office:

A Construction Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and removal of aerial or underground telecommunications plant. This position operates a variety of equipment and company vehicles associated with the placement, repair, and removal of copper and fiber plant in support of outside plant operations. This position requires the ability to work irregular hours and participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions. Must be able to safely operate a bucket truck and work at elevated heights in accordance with safety standards. High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior pole climbing and line construction experience preferred, or a minimum of two years of employment with Ben Lomand. Pole Climbing Certification required within one year of employment. A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) must be obtained within one year of employment, and the employee must be able to safely operate a company vehicle for job-related duties. Must reside within a 45-minute radius of the assigned office (Ben Lomand Plant Operations, 2484 Smithville Hwy, McMinnville) or be willing to relocate. Salary based on experience.
