Position Title:
Construction Laborer Position Type:
Full-time. Perform physical labor on construction sites and assist with a wide variety of residential and commercial tasks. Work includes operating tools/equipment, preparing job sites, digging trenches, framing, repainting, remodeling, minor electrical and plumbing work, installing siding, insulation, flooring, windows/doors, erecting scaffolding, debris removal, finish carpentry, and general assistance as needed.
A CDL is a plus.
Education & Experience:
No specific education requirements. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Trade-school training is a plus. Previous construction or general labor experience preferred. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods. Strong work ethic and reliability. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Knowledge:
Building & Construction:
Materials, methods, tools used for constructing or repairing homes, buildings, and structures. May assist carpenters, masons, and other trades.
Mechanical:
Familiarity with machines and tools. Understanding their design, use, repair, and maintenance. Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions. Ability to follow directions and complete tasks from start to finish. Commitment to teamwork, punctuality, and safety.

Primary Job Duties:
Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Use and read a tape measure (proficiency will be tested). Assist in measuring, cutting, assembling materials. Dig ditches/trenches; backfill and compact earth to grade. Measure, mark, or record openings or distances for layout. Load/unload building materials, machinery, and tools; distribute to correct locations. Lubricate, clean, or repair machinery and jobsite equipment. Assist tradesmen as needed. Maintain a clean and organized jobsite. Perform physically demanding work safely. Must be able to communicate clearly with supervisors and crew members. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must use PPE when required.
Construction sites may have: Slips/trips/falls (uneven terrain, wet floors). Elevated work heights (ladders, scaffolding). Heavy equipment. Debris and materials.
Work Attire:
Cotton short/long sleeve shirt. Shorts or jeans. Tennis shoes or work boots.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:45 a.m.
4:30 p.
m. May extend to 5:00 p.m.; Saturdays if needed.

$36,360 per year.

Valid Class C required.
