Job Description

Job Overview As a Remodeling/Construction Laborer , you will help move projects forward by preparing work areas, handling materials, and supporting drywall, carpentry, and various renovation tasks. You will operate hand and power tools, follow construction plans, and work safely alongside a crew or independently with minimal direction. This role requires heavy lifting, physical stamina, and flexibility to work across active jobsites.
Responsibilities Site Preparation:
Prepare jobsites and materials, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace.
Drywall & Painting:
Assist with hanging drywall, taping, mudding, sanding, and preparing surfaces for high-quality paint finishes.
Trades Support:
Support general carpentry, flooring installation, restoration, and other specialized renovation tasks as project needs dictate.
Instructions & Specs:
Follow verbal and written instructions, interpreting specifications to complete all assigned work accurately.
Tool & Material Management:
Safely operate hand and power tools, maintain an orderly work area, and manage materials securely.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations, site protocols, and required PPE usage to maintain a secure environment for yourself and your team.
Qualifications & Experience Required Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience hanging sheetrock, taping, and mudding.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience in interior painting, including professional surface preparation.
General Skills:
Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with common hand/power tools.
Physical Demands:
Ability to perform continuous physical labor, including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience with carpentry, flooring, concrete, or masonry work.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, schematics, and technical drawings.
Bonus Skills:
Prior experience with construction estimating is a plus, but not required.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
