We are a family-owned company and have been in business since 1979. We have the capability to self-perform our own earthwork, hauling, paving, structural/civil concrete, and underground utility operations. Our sister company, DPE Materials, provides aggregates and asphalt for our own construction projects as well. We are currently seeking applications for a highly motivated, experienced individual as a Grading Foreman . This individual will be able to supervise a crew effectively and efficiently; they will answer directly to the Grading Superintendent and Operations Manager. This position is based in Yuma, Arizona and is for full-time employment. The ideal candidate would have the following credentials to be considered: A minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least two (2) in a supervisory role, in earthwork operations on heavy civil construction projects. Knowledge and understanding of how to properly operate and maintain the correct equipment necessary to complete the task at hand (i.e motor grader, compactors, front-end loaders). Experience in running equipment with GPS Trimble systems. Ability to supervise and coordinate daily activities of grading crew members including laborers and other operators. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, survey data, specifications, ect. Accurately record into iPad and maintain daily reports, crew timesheets, equipment logs, and safety documents as needed. Enforce safety policies and procedures, conduct daily safety meetings, and proactively address any potential job site hazards (including utility conflicts). Lead by example and foster a positive and productive work environment that emphasizes safety, efficiency, and productivity. Effectively communicate and conduct themselves in a professional manner with other team members and those outside the organization.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. Knowledge of HCSS Field/360 Field Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and DPE Construction safety policies. Ability to read and understand construction plans, spec, and survey layouts. Knowledge of materials and techniques as they pertain to grading operations. Proficient in using grade check tools, lasers, and levels. Clean driving record and valid driver's license. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
