Design & Build is looking for an experienced, motivated Construction Project Manager who takes pride in producing outstanding work, leading people effectively, and delivering an exceptional experience to homeowners. The Project Manager will play a major role in making that future a reality.
THE CHALLENGE
Construction is demanding. Schedules change. Materials are delayed. Subcontractors need coordination. Clients have questions. Problems have to be solved quickly. Quality has to be maintained while budgets and deadlines still matter. That is exactly why we need an outstanding Project Manager. You will be expected to bring organization, leadership, accountability and solutions to every project you manage. When challenges occur, we do not want excuses—we want someone who can evaluate the situation, communicate clearly, develop a solution and move the project forward.

Your performance will be measured primarily by the results of your projects, including:
  • Projects progressing according to established schedules

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
As Construction Project Manager, you will take ownership of assigned projects from pre-construction and project startup through final completion.
  • Develop, maintain and manage project schedules
  • Coordinate employees, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
  • Review project plans, specifications and scope of work
  • Plan upcoming work so crews have the information, materials and resources they need
  • Monitor project budgets, costs and production
  • Coordinate material ordering and deliveries
  • Conduct regular job-site inspections
  • Maintain RWT quality and workmanship standards
  • Identify potential problems early and develop solutions
  • Coordinate inspections and project milestones
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with homeowners
  • Keep management informed of project status, problems and accomplishments
  • Document project changes and change-order requirements
  • Monitor subcontractor and employee performance
  • Maintain organized project records, photographs and documentation
  • Ensure job sites represent RWT professionally
  • Drive projects toward timely and successful completion
  • Complete punch lists and closeout requirements
  • Take responsibility for the overall result of every project assigned to you

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking candidates with a strong background in residential construction, remodeling, general contracting, construction project management, or equivalent practical experience. The successful candidate should have the ability to:
  • Understand residential construction processes and sequencing
  • Read and work from construction plans and specifications
  • Manage multiple trades and subcontractors
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules
  • Monitor project costs and budgets
  • Recognize workmanship and quality issues
  • Communicate effectively with homeowners
  • Use project-management and basic computer technology
  • Maintain accurate project records
  • Solve problems and make sound decisions in a fast-moving construction environment Experience managing residential remodeling, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, ADUs, custom construction or similar projects is highly desirable.
COMPENSATION & OPPORTUNITY
Starting Salary:
$80,000-$90,000 per year In addition to base salary, RWT offers the opportunity to earn performance bonuses based on quality, production and successful project results. We believe exceptional performance should be recognized and rewarded. TRAINING & SUPPORT
We do not expect a new Project Manager to walk in on the first morning and somehow know every RWT procedure. We will provide the orientation, information, communication and practical training necessary to understand:

  • Internal communication
  • Reporting expectations
  • Company policies
  • Client-service standards
  • Production expectations
  • Performance measurements We will support you in becoming successful quickly—but once trained, we expect you to take ownership of your position and produce results.
