About Bloom Kitchens We're Bloom Kitchens, a female-owned design/build company specializing in kitchen and bath remodels along with flooring, fireplaces, staircases, interior painting, custom carpentry and more. Our team brings together creativity, craftsmanship, and heart. Between our remodeling company and our cabinet painting division, we complete over eighty projects each year. Construction Project Manager (CPM) Construction Project Managers are responsible for leading the successful execution of residential remodeling projects from construction start through completion. They oversee schedules, subcontractors, quality, project progress, and client communication while providing direction and accountability to the production and construction teams. They use their construction knowledge and judgment to anticipate needs, resolve issues, and keep projects moving forward while protecting Bloom's standards for quality, client experience, schedule, and budget. You are a confident construction leader who thinks ahead, communicates clearly, and takes ownership of your work. KEY RESONPSIBILITIES
Project and Construction Operations Manage approximately 6-8 active residential remodeling projects from construction start through completion and closeout. Own project schedules, trade coordination, materials, jobsite progress, quality, client communication, and documentation. Anticipate upcoming needs, identify potential issues early, and take action to keep projects moving. Conduct regular site visits and hold subcontractors and trades accountable for schedule, workmanship, communication, and completion of their scope. Resolve day-to-day project issues and determine when leadership involvement is needed. Drive projects through punch list and final closeout. Team Leadership and Accountability Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to assigned Assistant Project Managers (APMs) and production support staff. Set priorities, clarify responsibilities, and hold team members accountable to Bloom's project management and communication standards. Review project activity and documentation to ensure projects are being actively managed and information stays current. Identify performance gaps or training needs and help team members improve. Help create a culture where people take ownership of their responsibilities and communicate issues early rather than allowing problems to grow Construction Knowledge and Problem Solving Bring practical construction knowledge to project and design decisions. Recognize when designs, plans, or selections present construction challenges and collaborate with designers and project teams to find practical solutions. Make sound field decisions that consider constructability, budget, schedule, quality, and design intent. Know when to take ownership of an issue and when to involve the appropriate team member or leadership. Strong understanding of construction sequencing and the most efficient order of operations for residential remodeling projects Client Experience and Communication Maintain proactive, professional communication with homeowners throughout construction. Create a calm, organized, and confident experience for clients. Listen to client concerns, address issues appropriately, and ensure clients understand what is happening next. Financial and Schedule Awareness Understand how project decisions affect labor, materials, schedule, and profitability. Identify potential cost overruns, scope concerns, rework, and delays early and communicate them appropriately. Help minimize unnecessary labor, material waste, rework, and schedule delays. Systems and Continuous Improvement Ensure Buildertrend and other project-management systems are accurate and up to date, delegating when appropriate. Maintain consistent project documentation and ensure required schedules, logs, and checklists are completed. Identify gaps in Bloom's processes and recommend practical improvements. Share construction knowledge and best practices with the broader Bloom team. Provide leadership with clear information about project health, team performance, and issues requiring attention.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in residential construction, remodeling, or a related field Experience managing multiple residential construction or remodeling projects simultaneously. Experience coordinating subcontractors, trades, and project schedules Excellent communication skills and a professional, respectful approach with homeowners, subcontractors, and internal team members Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing, quality standards, and jobsite safety Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Strong understanding of how field decisions affect labor, materials, schedule, and overall project profitability Ability to identify and communicate issues that may impact schedule, quality, or project costs Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed •Hands-on construction experience is highly valued. We believe that having performed the work provides a valuable understanding of how projects come together and helps our construction team make better decisions in the field.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Hands-on experience working in construction or remodeling (such as carpentry, general contracting, tile, or similar) Previous experience as a Construction Manager, Superintendent, Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or similar field leadership role Experience with residential kitchen and bath remodeling Experience reading construction plans and understanding design drawings Experience collaborating with designers when designs present construction challenges. Experience with project management or construction software
SALARY AND SCHEDULE A
starting salary of $70,000 - $85,000/year based on experience Monday - Friday ( communications with subcontractors on weekends as needed )
