Work with people who value your experience. Aldrich Construction Company (ACC) is seeking a construction superintendent—or an experienced foreman ready to grow into the role—to lead our projects in the field. This opening comes as a senior superintendent retires after 20 years with the company. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, communicates well, and enjoys coordinating the people and details that make a project successful. You will be ACC's lead on-site representative, working closely with our project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects organized, on schedule, and built to a high standard. The role primarily involves field leadership and subcontractor coordination, with some hands-on work as needed. Why Join Aldrich Construction?
Local projects:
Most jobs are within 15 miles of our Manchester office, with only occasional projects farther away.
A supportive workplace:
We treat our employees like family and value their lives and responsibilities outside of work.
Long-term relationships:
Much of our work comes from repeat customers and referrals, supported by an established network of subcontractors and vendors.
Room to grow:
We believe in helping our people develop their skills and take on greater responsibility—not simply expanding the size of our team.
Experienced leadership:
Our owner is a professional engineer, and our lead project manager is a mechanical engineer.
Steady work:
We offer ongoing work with frequent overtime opportunities. About Us Founded in 1985, Aldrich Construction is a financially strong commercial and industrial general contractor serving the greater Manchester area. Our team of 10 full-time employees builds and renovates facilities on projects ranging from $100,000 to several million dollars. We also provide maintenance and service work for established customers. We take pride in quality construction, practical problem-solving, and respectful working relationships. Our project managers and field staff bring diverse construction and carpentry skills to the job, and we work closely with our subcontractors and vendors to create a productive, positive jobsite. What You'll Do Serve as ACC's lead on-site representative and oversee day-to-day field activities. Coordinate subcontractors and vendors so work proceeds efficiently and in the proper sequence. Monitor workmanship and confirm that work meets project requirements and quality standards. Work with the project manager on planning, scheduling, and maintaining project progress. Perform miscellaneous hands-on field tasks that fall outside individual subcontractors' scopes of work. Promote a safe jobsite and oversee compliance with applicable OSHA requirements. What We're Looking For At least five years of construction field experience, including several years leading employees or subcontractors as a foreman or superintendent. Strong practical construction knowledge and the ability to read and interpret building plans. An organized approach to planning, coordinating, and following through on work. Good computer and math skills. Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability. Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to work effectively with different trades. Familiarity with applicable building codes and OSHA safety standards. Curiosity, a willingness to learn, and pride in doing the job well. A college degree is not required. We welcome experienced superintendents as well as capable foremen who are ready to develop into the superintendent role. Compensation and Benefits Total compensation package of $80,000-$110,000.
Benefits include:
Paid vacation and holidays. Bonuses. A company contribution toward health insurance. A retirement profit-sharing plan funded entirely by the company. Steady work with frequent overtime opportunities.
