This is an excellent opportunity for a Bridge Superintendent, Structures Superintendent, or Project Superintendent looking to oversee a significant project for a stable company. Responsibilities include managing field operations, supervising crews and subcontractors, ensuring production goals are met, and prioritizing safety, schedule, and budget adherence in the field, particularly focusing on FDOT work. Local candidates from Tampa Bay and Central Florida are preferred, but relocation candidates will also be considered. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily field operations for bridge and highway projects Coordinate scheduling for foremen, crews, and subcontractors Establish and enforce production targets for the team Collaborate with the project manager and engineers on project planning Take ownership of jobsite safety and serve as the OSHA competent person Interact with FDOT inspectors and the owner's team Monitor quantities, production, and field costs against the budget Maintain up-to-date daily reports and field documentation Manage coordination of materials, equipment, and deliveries Qualifications 5 to 7+ years of experience in bridge construction within the heavy highway industry Prior experience as a superintendent overseeing bridge or interchange projects Proficiency in FDOT contracts, specifications, and reporting OSHA competent person certification Valid driver's license with a clean record Design build project experience is a bonus Located in or willing to relocate to Tampa Bay or Central Florida Benefits of Joining Us Permanent position with a well-established heavy civil construction firm Comprehensive benefits package Consistent FDOT bridge and highway projects in Florida Potential for advancement towards a General Superintendent role Opportunity to work on influential heavy civil projects that can elevate your career
