Construct Vital Community Infrastructure We are seeking a seasoned Water/Wastewater Construction Superintendent to spearhead significant municipal infrastructure and treatment facility projects across the area. This position demands a proactive field leader who possesses deep expertise in water and wastewater facility construction, comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, and the capability to oversee the full project lifecycle from initial estimation to final delivery. Applicants are required to have direct, practical experience with the installation of electrical infrastructure specifically within water or wastewater treatment environments. Your Responsibilities Direct all day-to-day site activities for water and wastewater treatment facility construction. Manage site personnel, subcontractors, and overall project operations from the initial phase to final handover. Supervise various project components, including mechanical, electrical, and piping infrastructure. Facilitate electrical installations, including pumps, motors, instrumentation, control panels, MCCs, VFDs, and power distribution systems. Oversee the successful execution of projects with budgets ranging from $10M to $20M. Assist with project planning, takeoffs, proposal development, and the bidding process. Organize site resources, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor schedules. Foster strong working relationships with project managers, engineers, owners, vendors, and inspectors. Analyze construction documents, electrical schematics, and blueprints to ensure project accuracy. Address and resolve on-site challenges to maintain steady progress and operational efficiency. Help ensure that all project milestones are met safely, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Promote a culture of safety by leading regular meetings and enforcing OSHA and company protocols. Develop the skills of field staff to cultivate a highly accountable and effective team. Required Qualifications Over a decade of direct field experience in water or wastewater treatment plant construction. At least five years of experience serving as a Superintendent or in a similar field leadership capacity. Demonstrated success in managing municipal infrastructure and treatment plant projects. Practical, hands-on experience installing electrical systems within water and wastewater treatment facilities. Technical proficiency with motors, pumps, VFDs, MCCs, control panels, power distribution, and generators. Expertise in process piping, lift stations, underground utilities, blowers, and specialized treatment equipment. Proven track record of managing projects within the $10M-$20M budget range. Comprehensive understanding of project planning, procurement, scheduling, bidding, and estimation. Ability to interpret complex specifications, electrical plans, and construction drawings. Competence in using Excel and standard construction management software tools. Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and leadership capabilities.
