Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced Underground Utilities Foreman to oversee and manage the installation of water, sewer, and storm sewer systems on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, crew management, and construction project coordination. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. The Underground Utilities Foreman will be responsible for supervising daily operations, reading blueprints, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring compliance with all relevant construction regulations. Duties Lead and manage construction crews in the installation of water, sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure. Oversee daily site activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to guide installation processes. Operate or oversee the operation of heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, and skid steers to facilitate excavation and installation tasks. Coordinate with project managers to develop and adhere to construction schedules. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and enforce construction safety management protocols on-site. Manage construction safety programs to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and clients regarding project progress and issues. Monitor adherence to construction regulations and industry standards throughout the project duration. Assist in managing project documentation, inspections, and quality control measures. Skills Minimum of two years of experience in a foreman role within commercial or underground utilities construction. Proven experience in crew management and leadership on construction sites. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings related to utility installations. Knowledge of construction project management principles including scheduling and resource allocation. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety management practices specific to underground utility work. Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and skid steers. Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination and safety enforcement. Ability to oversee multiple aspects of construction projects while maintaining high standards of safety and quality compliance. Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 65.0 per week
